Glendale car crash kills two

20-year-old Goodyear resident succumbs to injuries

Posted

Two people are dead after a three-vehicle accident in Glendale.

At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, Glendale police responded to reports of an accident on West Glendale Avenue. A black sedan with two occupants was traveling westbound at a high rate of speed and rear-ended another black sedan carrying three occupants, traveling in the same lane and direction, police say.

The vehicle with three occupants was struck by a third vehicle from oncoming traffic in the eastbound lanes. The fire department responded and provided medical treatment to all injured parties.

The two occupants of the first vehicle remained on scene. A 29-year-old female was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the rear-ended vehicle sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a Valley hospital for treatment. The front seat passenger, identified by Glendale police as Jadalynn Faith Pasion of Goodyear, 20, was pronounced deceased on scene. A 14-year-old boy in the back seat was transported with life threatening injuries and later died at the hospital.

The name of the juvenile will not be released due to his age.

The sole occupant of the third vehicle sustained minor injuries and was not transported.

Vehicular Crimes Detectives responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.

Detectives were able to determine that both speed and impairment appear to be factors of the collision.

The investigation is ongoing.

UPDATE:

Per Glendale police, Jadalynn’s father, Jerome, has shared the link to a gofundme set up by another family member.
