Glendale announces city pool schedules, programs

Despite a lifeguard staffing shortage in Glendale leading to limited public pool hours, the city has announced its upcoming swimming schedule.

The Rose Lane Aquatics Center, 5003 W. Marlette Ave., will operate from Tuesday, June 7 through Saturday, July 2. The weekly Tuesday-Saturday program schedule will include youth swim lessons (10:20 a.m.-12:10 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays), and an open swim schedule (1-5 p.m. each day).

The Foothills Aquatics Center, 5600 W. Union Hills Drive, will be open from Tuesday, July 5 through Saturday, July 30. Foothills will also operate on a Tuesday-Saturday schedule each week, which includes youth swim lessons (10:20 a.m.-12:10 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays), and an open swim schedule (1-5 p.m. each day).
