Health care needs can radically change as people age, which makes having an understanding of Medicare options vital.

With more options than ever before, navigating the complex Medicare landscape begins with being aware of what health care insurance plans will cover your hospital care, doctor visits and prescription drugs.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona is holding a series of free information sessions — both virtual and in-person — to educate Medicare-eligible residents and those who will soon become eligible for Medicare, about the different Medicare health plan choices available and what plans fit their specific needs.

Attendees will have the opportunity to get Medicare questions answered during these events.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona will hold more than a dozen free Medicare seminars now through mid-June, including in Glendale, for residents to learn about the different Medicare health plan options available. Individuals do not have to have Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona health insurance to attend.

The virtual sessions are:

  • 10-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 10
  • 10-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 24
  • 10-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 7

In-Person Medicare Information Sessions in Glendale are:

  • 2-3:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, at Denny’s Restaurant, 5161 W. Thunderbird Road, Glendale
  • 2-3:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, at Denny’s Restaurant, 5161 W. Thunderbird Road, Glendale
  • 10-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, at Denny’s Restaurant, 5161 W. Thunderbird Road, Glendale
