Due to Gov. Doug Ducey’s Executive Order implementing new safety measures to slow the spread of COVID-19 cases in Arizona, Glendale’s Foothills Recreation & Aquatics Center, 5600 W. Union Hills Drive, is closed until further notice.
The governor ordered a 30-day shutdown for gyms, water parks and tubing, movie theaters and bars. The order also states that public events of 50 people or more are banned, and that in-person schooling is delayed until at least Aug. 17.
The Foothills Center is a full-service public facility, including aquatics, racquetball, aerobics, fitness center, rentals, indoor track, classes and special events.
