Famous Christmas lights show comes to Glendale's Westgate

The World of Illumination Christmas lights show is coming to Glendale for the first time.

The showcase opens during a ribbon-cutting event at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20. Glendale's Vice Mayor Joyce Clark, members of Glendale City Council, Miss Arizona 2019 and Make-A-Wish Arizona kids (World of Illumination's charitable partner) will join co-founders Simon Kreisberger and Yakir Urman for the ribbon-cutting ceremony and inaugural ride.

Attendees drive through slowly drive through the one-mile course, which has been set up in a parking lot on the east side of Westgate Entertainment District, witnessing the 25-minute light show, featuring nearly 2 million lights and synchronized to holiday music.

World of Illumination is open 6-10 p.m. on weeknights and 6-11 p.m. on weekends through Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020.  Ticket prices start at $22.99 per car and can be purchased at worldofillumination.com
