Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers to offer free meals to healthcare workers

Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers continues its program Cold Beers Cares to salute public safety and healthcare workers on the frontlines.
This program will offer healthcare workers a free lunch every Tuesday in May from 1-3 p.m. These meals will be available for curbside pickup at all 12 Valley locations, including four in Scottsdale, four in Phoenix, one in Peoria, one in Glendale, one in Chandler and one in Gilbert.
The Cold Beers Cares movement began as a result of Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers’ ongoing courtesy lunch and dinner deliveries to hospitals, police departments and fire stations over the last several weeks.
Each meal will include two cheeseburger sliders and chips, along with a $5 promotional gift card for a next visit. Each Tuesday, lunch will be regulated on a first-come first-served basis, while supplies last. In addition, management will ensure guests are served efficiently and areas will be marked for appropriate distancing of customers in line.
The restaurant will open its Valley locations for curbside pick-up service; previously only eight locations had been open during the pandemic, according to a press release.
“This is a hats off to our hometown heroes and a free lunch for them every Tuesday in May seems like the least we can do,” S. Barrett Rinzler, founder and CEO of Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers, said in a prepared statement.
“Over the last month or more, our first responders have stepped up even more to keep us safe and healthy. Now it’s our turn to do something great for them. We’re calling this effort Cold Beers Cares. Out of adversity, good things do happen, and we anticipate Cold Beers Cares to be around for a while as we have always supported exceptional actions and worthwhile causes in our community.
“In addition, this unprecedented challenge has been daunting for all businesses and we’ve had only eight locations open with reduced hours and curbside to-go service only. To our surprise, we’ve been inundated with calls and messages to reopen our other four locations, and we’ve listened.”
The four Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers that reopened were Old Town Scottsdale; Park West in Peoria; Pima Crossing at Shea and the 101 in Scottsdale; and Seventh Street near Bethany Home in Phoenix.
