Enjoy your Easter weekend making cheese with family or friends at a hands-on cheese making class at Mommas Organic Farmers Market in Glendale.

“Cheese Making 101-Natural Cheese snacks and Italian Basket Cheese” is open to only 10 participants from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 16 at Momma’s Organic Market in the Arrowhead Mall parking lot, at 7700 W. Arrowhead Town Center.

Those interested should register here. Due to limited space no tickets will be available at the door unless the class is not sold out.

This is an outside activity during the farmers market.

This two-hour beginner level class will teach guests to make simple and delicious cheeses to be made quickly and be able to eat the same day or within one day from the make. Students will start with milk and finesse it over the course of the class to transform it into natural cheese snacks and a basket cheese.

Participants will learn the best choice of milk to use in cheese making along with learning why and how to use the enzyme rennet used in cheese making to transform the milk into cheese. The cheeses are ready to eat very soon after they’re made.

Call Kathy Levine at 480-271-4979 for more information.

Bring water for yourself for the outdoor event.
