Banner Health has new CEOs at five of its hospitals in Arizona, according to a news release.

The new leadership at the hospitals involve the transition of three current leaders to new roles. The changes, which were effective Monday, Dec. 9, are:

Debbie Flores — previously the CEO of Banner Boswell Medical Center in Sun City and Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center in Sun City West — is now CEO for Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale. She replaces Deb Krmpotic, who is no longer with Banner Health.

Sharon Lind — previously CEO of Banner Goldfield Medical Center in Apache Junction and Banner Ironwood Medical Center in Queen Creek — is now CEO for Banner Boswell and Banner Del E. Webb.

Robert Gardner — previously chief operating officer of Banner Baywood Medical Center and Banner Heart Hospital in Mesa — has been promoted to CEO of Banner Goldfield and Banner Ironwood.

“I have great confidence that these seasoned Banner Health leaders will bring strategic insights and thought, as well as energy, excitement and enthusiasm to the strong work already under way at each of these hospitals,” stated Todd Werner, president of Arizona Community Delivery for Banner Health. “Each has a proven record of success in their previous roles and are well-positioned for these new opportunities.”

Headquartered in Arizona, Banner Health is one of the largest nonprofit health care systems in the country, according to the news release. The system owns and operates 28 acute-care hospitals, Banner Health Network, Banner – University Medicine, academic and employed physician groups, long-term care centers, outpatient surgery centers and an array of other services — including Banner Urgent Care, family clinics, home care and hospice services, pharmacies and a nursing registry. Banner Health is in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nebraska, Nevada and Wyoming.
