2 chances in Glendale to safely dispose of pharmaceuticals

The DEA’s upcoming Drug Take Back Event will provide two locations in the city to participate.
The Glendale Police Department, CVS Pharmacy and the Drug Enforcement Administration are providing residents an opportunity to safely and conveniently dispose of expired, unwanted or unused pharmaceuticals. Controlled, non-controlled and over-the-counter substances will be accepted.
The events will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29. On the north end of town, residents can take their pharmaceuticals to the CVS parking lot at 18591 N 59th Ave. On the south end, residents can visit another participating CVS parking lot at 5125 W Olive Ave.
Glass containers, inhalers, intravenous solutions, injectable drugs and syringes cannot be accepted due to potential hazards posed by blood-borne pathogens.
