Michael passed away in Sun City, AZ, after a two month battle to recover from two recent strokes. His remains will be interred in the National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix. Mike was born in Jerome, AZ, a son of Raymond and Grace Young King. He served in the Army overseas in the late 1950’s. After graduating from NAU in Flagstaff, where he majored in finance and accounting, he was employed by Maricopa Emergency Services Department and later with the county’s Parks and Rec. Department, where as a Certified Government Accountant and a Certified Government Finance Manager, he had multiple responsibilities. Mike was a member of Lakeview Methodist Church in Sun City, where a Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. Surviving are two cousins: Judy Young Logue of Long Beach, CA and Nancy Young Hobson of Normal, IL.
