Belly Kitchen & Bar became the first restaurant to open at the Epicenter mixed-use development, 3150 E. Ray Road, Ste. 180, in Gilbert’s Agritopia neighborhood.
The restaurant opened Thursday evening. It serves fresh, ingredient-driven Southeast Asian cuisine, libations and a curated selection of natural wines in a laid-back, warmly lit atmosphere.
Belly also has a location in Phoenix
“We are very excited to bring Belly to Gilbert,” said Michael Babcock, culinary director and founder of Instrumental Hospitality, in a release. “Belly Phoenix is a microcosm of what I hope Belly at Epicenter will become. The larger buildout at our Gilbert location allows us to elevate the Belly experience, explore new dishes and offer a completely new lunch menu. Additionally, we are excited to build new relationships with produce purveyors and vendors in Gilbert.”
The restaurant is open 5 p.m.-midnight seven days a week now, but lunch hours are coming soon.
