379 homes planned at Bella Vista Trails in San Tan Valley

A rezoning of property for 379 homes at Bella Vista Trails, at Gantzel Road and Bella Vista Road; and a separate land division at Bella Vista Road and Hunt Highway are to be discussed at the May 27 meeting of the Pinal County Board of Supervisors.

It begins at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Pinal County Administrative Complex’s Board of Supervisors Hearing Room, 135 N. Pinal St. in Florence.

San Tan Valley items include:

  • A public hearing, discussion and vote on an ordinance approving the rezoning of 81.86 acres from General Rural Zone to Single Residence Zoning District to allow for residential uses along with 379 units of detached single-family residential southeast of Gantzel Road and Bella Vista Road. The request is by Forrest Max Koepnick, Forrest Max Koepnick Survivor’s Trust, landowner; and Jorge Villasenor, EPS Group Inc., agent and applicant.
  • A public hearing, discussion and vote on a resolution approving a Non-Major Comprehensive Plan amendment for Special Area Plan to re-designate 81.86 acres from Suburban Neighborhood to Urban Transitional land use designation referred as Bella Vista Trails, southeast of Gantzel Road and Bella Vista Road. The request is by Forrest Max Koepnick, Forrest Max Koepnick Survivor’s Trust, landowner; and Jorge Villasenor, EPS Group Inc., agent and applicant.
  • Discussion and a vote on a waiver of Pinal County Development Services Code Title 3 Subdivisions for the Café Rio Minor Land Division to allow one additional land division through the Minor Land Division Process. The property is at the south corner of Golf Club Drive (Bella Vista Road) and Hunt Highway. The request is from a request by LDR-SWC HUNT HWY and GC LLC.
