Fourth of July fireworks at The Wigwam are still a go
Posted
Independent Newsmedia
Litchfield Park residents and guests of The Wigwam Resort will still have a chance to watch Independence Day fireworks Saturday, July 4.
The cities of Buckeye and Goodyear, which planned drive-in-style events, both canceled their displays due to COVID-19 social distancing guidelines.
The Wigwam canceled its annual Red, White & Boom celebration weeks ago to comply with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance banning large gatherings, but the fireworks display will light up the night at 9 p.m., according to an event post at wigwamarizona.com.
“For the community and to follow current directives of no mass gatherings, The Wigwam kindly asks that friends and families enjoy the fireworks show remotely from the comfort of their own home, guestroom or car,” the post states.”
For more information and updates, visit the city’s website, litchfield-park.org or wigwamarizona.com/events.
