Carolyn, age 86, of Brightview in Danvers, formerly of Sun City West, AZ, passed away December 28, 2019 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. Born in Chicago, IL, she was the dear daughter of the late Dr. Leo J. and Winifred (Brelsford) Frey.
She was raised and educated in Chicago, IL and at Wayland Academy in Beaver Dam, WI. Carolyn furthered her education by graduating from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Art Degree.
Ms. Keating had been employed as a clerk for the Arizona State Compensation Fund and the U-Haul Company for many years.
Carolyn, an avid gardener and gregarious friend, had been a member of numerous clubs in Sun City West and Phoenix, AZ, her homes of more than thirty years.
She is survived by one daughter, Karen Keating Ansara and her husband, Jim of Essex; one son, John S. Keating, III of Danvers; and four grandchildren: Michael, Lucia, Maria and Alicia Ansara, all of Essex.
A simple and intimate Memorial Service will be held at the First Baptist Church, 221 Cabot Street, Beverly on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. with a luncheon to follow. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be held privately.
