Gerhard, 90, born December 25, 1929, died Tuesday, March 31, 2020 in Sun City West, AZ.

Gerhard was born in Bielefeld, Germany on December 25, 1929 to Hugo Kronshage and Margarette Dissmann.

He is survived by his son, Christian and daughter-in-law, Alisa. He has 5 grandchildren: Cierra, Katelynn, Katarina, Jacob and Cory. He has a sister, Margot Kronshage who resides in Germany. He is also survived by his nieces Corinne Gutierrez and Ingrid McGruder, and nephew Brian Warner. Gerhard was preceded by his wife Una Cuffe and previous to that his first wife Marlene.

Gerhard was physically active by playing tennis, riding his bike, and going for walks daily. As an active member of his community, Gerhard was highly involved with his tennis club. Gerhard played Team Tennis and was known to be kind and encouraging to all. Gerhard was in charge of the “drop-in/round robin” group that played every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. He used to organize the “Swing into Spring” Tournament.

He was a great person in and out of the courts and will be greatly missed by those who knew him and loved him.

Gerhard left Germany after World War II, and he married twice and widowed twice.

He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
