Two Chandler and Gilbert residents graduated from Washington and Lee University on May 26

Two local residents residents recently graduated from Washington and Lee University.

Chandler resident Jin Ni received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Politics, and Gilbert resident Carrie Anne Morrison received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Computer Science. 

The two attended the commencement ceremony on May 26 along with 442 other Washington and Lee University seniors.

The university, which is located in Lexington, Virginia, has a selective acceptance rate of 24% and is ranked 11th nationally for liberal arts colleges.

Washington and Lee is the ninth-oldest university in the United States, founded in 1749.
