TruWest supply drive provides backpacks to elementary school

Posted

TruWest Credit Union pivoted from financial services to education with its annual backpack drive, which ran from May 23 to June 18. The drive produced 96 backpack donations, which were filled with supplies and delivered to Galveston Elementary School in Chandler.

“We are so proud to have been able to help students in our community start their school year equipped for success,” Community Development Manager of TruWest Credit Union, Rachel Caballero said in a news release.

The backpacks were filled with school supplies which were also obtained through the donation drive. In addition to the backpacks and supplies, 30 laptops were donated to the school for student use, according to the news release.
