As summer heat persists, Chandler residents continue to have indoor entertainment options throughout the weekend and into next week.

July 16: Celebrate Christmas in July

SanTan Brewery is holding its annual Christmas in July celebration in downtown Chandler. The brewery will serve its first ever brewed specialty beer, Winter Warmer, and house-smoked turkey pot pie. Also available for this seasonal celebration are two Christmas-themed cocktails. These specialized menu offerings will only be available while supplies last during this once-a-year event. Winter decorations will be on display, in addition to Christmas music. The event runs through business hours. Free admission. 8 S. San Marcos Place, Chandler.

July 16: Attend a writers group

Local author Andrew Flynn will facilitate a free writers group for teens and adults from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the Downtown Library. Discussion topics include “story structure, types of writing, weekly output goals, dealing with self-doubt and confidence issues in regards to writing and publishing,” according to the event description. Also up for discussion are the varying options for writers to publish their work. 22 South Delaware Street, Chandler.

July 17: Get your wheels turning at Skateland Chandler

Public skating is open this Sunday from 4:30-7:00 p.m. Skate rentals are available on-site for $4.50, according to the website. Admission is $8.50.
