CHANDLER — The Marijuana Industry Trade Association  has announced its second annual Winter Charity Golf Tournament, Thursday, Dec. 1 at Ocotillo Golf Club, 3751 S. Clubhouse Drive in Chandler.

With a focus on giving back, a portion of the proceeds will benefit Arizona Helping Hands.

The rournament will feature foursomes composed of cannabis industry executives from Arizona and across the country.

After the tournament, participants can network, enter raffles, and have drinks with all the players, sponsors, and other cannabis executives who were unable to make it on the green.

MITA was able to raise and gather 400 toys and more than $5,000 for Arizona Helping Hands at the inaugural charity golf tournament in 2021.

“The holiday season in Arizona is all about gathering with friends, enjoying our amazing weather, and giving back to our community. At MITA’s 2nd Annual Winter Charity Golf Tournament, you can do all of this and more,” said Demitri Downing, MITA founder and CEO. “No matter the segment of the cannabis industry you focus on, we’ll have decision-makers and valuable contacts there for you to meet. It’s one of the must-attend events of the year and we hope to see plenty of cannabis industry professionals on the green.”

The law firm Bianchi & Brandt, which has done extensive work in cannabis law and regulatory policy, is the title sponsor of the event.

Established in 2016, MITA works directly with members and policy makers to ensure a fair, safe, regulated and successful cannabis economy acting as a resource hub for patients, brands, companies, and entrepreneurs.

Every month, the organization features an elite national cannabis executive to discuss a slated timely industry speaking topic. Their November event takes place on Nov. 30, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Found:RE Phoenix Hotel, located at 1100 N. Central Avenue in Phoenix.
