Chandler stretch-centric studio set for Dec. 1 opening

Stretchlab is planning a Dec. 1 opening in north Chandler at 1969 W. Ray Road, No. 1, in a shopping center at Dobson Road, anchored by Sprouts.

To celebrate the grand opening of the Chandler location, StretchLab will offer discounted presale memberships beginning in September and continuing until the opening date.

Founded in 2015, StretchLab’s mission is to provide assisted stretching services to clients of all types and gain a wider range of motion and flexibility.

The Flexologist Training Program requires all trainers to complete months of training and to learn the muscular system, assisted stretches and how to work with a variety of clients.

Flexologists use the Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation method in one-on-one sessions to increase range of motion.
StretchLab offers 1-on-1 assisted stretches with options of a 25-minute targeted stretch or a 50-minute whole-body stretch.

The 25-minute stretch concentrates on major muscle groups in one area to help alleviate muscle tightness from daily office work or intense workouts.

A 50-minute stretch helps those struggling from tight muscles and aching or stiff joints and athletes who would like to improve sport performance.

There is also a 50-minute group stretch option, which is a small group format with stretches that are customized to the client’s level of mobility and activity.

In addition to opening this new location, the franchise owner, Jennifer Gage, recently acquired a Mesa location.

Gage opened the first Valley StretchLab in 2018. The north Chandler location will be her eighth. She is also the founder of GiGi’s Playhouse Phoenix Down Syndrome Achievement Center.

In group settings, the “Flexologist” guides the class on how to use stretch tools like stretch straps and foam rollers.
