Author Aggie L. Jae will sign her latest book at a fun, all-ages event set for the weekend of Sept. 6-7 in Chandler, according to a news release.

The Chandler Barnes & Noble bookstore, located in the Chandler Fashion  Center, will be the site of the event, which will include the huggable Story Monster mascot.

The event includes a meet-the-author book signing and a treasure hunt. Both are intended for all age groups.

The event is Friday, Sept. 6, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturday, Sept. 7, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Jae wrote her first story when she was in third grade and began The Water Door in high school. She rewrote it for 8- to 12-year-olds, but says it’s great for anyone who loves treasure-hunting adventures, the release states.

Married for 30 years with two sons, two grandsons, two Shih Tzu dogs, and twelve chickens, Jae enjoys boating, birdwatching, music, reading, and meeting new friends. She’s also been a model, restaurateur, massage therapist, and nutritionist, and now lives on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

Visit www.TheWaterDoor.com for more on that book and for more about the upcoming "Book 2: The Secret of the Anakim Ruby," coming in 2025.
