Virginia P. (Jinny) Faux

Posted

Virginia, of Sun City Arizona since 1979, previously of Broomall Pa., passed away Friday March 5 at the age of 98. Born in Ruggles Hollow Pa. she was predeceased by her loving husband James B. Faux and daughter Beverly Joy Faux. She is lovingly remembered by her son James B. Faux Jr. (wife Kathleen), granddaughter Cheryl Lynn Patterson (husband Ray) and great grandchildren Kayla Faux and Logan Patrick. Jinny was blessed to have an interesting life, having lived in Japan and Europe, and traveled extensively in the United States. Having attended college as a young woman, she worked in business administration for a few years, but settled into raising a family and being a military wife, as this was where her heart was. As life went on, she became a loving mentor and confidant to her granddaughter, Cheryl. They had a unique bond and shared many traveling adventures together over the years. In her later years, she contributed to her community through volunteering, leadership and active participation in her church. Her many social interests included golfing, calling Bingo, as well as painting and raising money for various charities. Jinny was a dedicated and loving military wife and mother, a mother of a brilliant teacher daughter and a stalwart soldier son, a grandmother and great grandmother who taught with smiles and examples of how others should be treated. She was a strong person who took life head on, with enthusiasm, purpose and joy. Her example of strength, generosity, caring and unmatched goodness will live in our hearts forever. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Virginia P. Faux to Saint Mary’s Food Bank at https://www.firstfoodbank.org/give/tribute-donation-copy/. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a future date. To leave messages of condolence for the family please visit www.sunlandmemorial.com.
