The Buckeye Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a meeting Tuesday night to discuss two major agenda items for rezoning two proprieties by the Atlas Development Co.
One item is for the Atlas Buckeye-minor general plan amendment requested by Stephen Anderson, a lawyer with Phoenix-based Gammage & Burnham PLC, on behalf of developer Atlas and property owner Hansel Landscape and Construction LLC. The request would change the land-use designation of about 151 acres located north and west of the northwest corner of Rooks Road and Southern Avenue from neighborhood to employment zoning.
The second item Atlas Buckeye rezoning from planned residential to Light Industrial at the north and west of the northwest corner of Rooks Road and Southern Avenue.
Atlas and the property owner HSL LLC are requesting approval of a rezone of approximately 129.73 acres. Development on this site with light industrial to be used for manufacturing, warehouse, distribution or potentially other uses.
Both items will be voted based on a majority approval for the purpose of rezoning. As well as with the City Attorney for his input of legal advice in relation to the legal requirements applicable to rezones and site plans.
