Kenneth N. Dicus

December 16, 1936 to May 22, 2021

Posted

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jean; 3 sons, Tom and wife Ana, Ryan and partner Jeremy and Ken and wife Bobbi; plus his granddaughter, Sarrah.
As a Helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army, he was awarded the Silver Star medal for Acts of Valor during the Vietnam War. If you have seen the movie "We Were Soldiers" then you will know about his bravery and valor. He reached the rank of Chief Warrant Officer and resigned his commission in 1966.
His wit came from having such an amazing life and a sharp mind. His ability to be a jokester using wordplay was something we absolutely treasured. He could usually be found walking his dog, sitting on the back porch or at breakfast with his buddies at the local cafe. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. His love of flying was only exceeded by his love for his family.
There are no services planned at this time. Anyone who wishes to make a donation in his memory should send it to Tunnel2Towers at https://T2T.ORG This organization donates homes to families of fallen first responders.
