John, age 87, of Sun City West, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021, in Sun City West, Arizona. He was born on February 2, 1934, to the late John Joseph and Emma (Prachar) Norris in Chicago, IL.
He attended St. Ignatius High School, graduating class of 1952, and furthered his education at Loyola University of Chicago, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in History.
On August 20, 1955, he married Jacquelyn Ann Prym in Chicago, IL.
John worked as a Sales Manager for United States Steel Corporation, achieving record-setting sales and winning many awards as top salesperson of the year. John overcame a disadvantaged background and became highly successful through his intelligence and resourcefulness, modeling for his family the value of hard work, discipline and tenacity. He was on the Prince of Peace building committee and a member of the Trail Ridge Men’s Golf Club. He enjoyed investing, learning about technology, traveling and spending time with his family.
John is survived by his loving spouse of sixty-six years, Jacquelyn; three children, John (Nancy), Cheryl (Philip), and Michael (Sharon); nine grandchildren, Katie, JP, Casey, Alex, Thomas, Cara, Emily, Hayden and Bryce; and one great grandchild, Zelena. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Winston, and his brothers, Philip and Francis.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Camino del Sol Funeral Chapel, 13738 W. Camino del Sol, Sun City West, Arizona 85375.
