Starting July 27, Buckeye’s Economic Development Department opened the application process for their its Catalyst Program.
Existing local businesses can apply to help expand, rehabilitate, beautify or enhance their landscaping, or provide public parking or lighting.
This year, the program’s total budget is $125,000. Each business that qualifies can apply for up to $50,000. Business owners must also financially contribute to the project. Full details are in the program guide, as well as frequently asked questions.
Reimbursement is provided after the business successfully completes the project and submits the required documentation.
Interested business owners can download and review the detailed program guide and program application from Buckeye’s Economic Development website, GrowBuckeye.com.
In the last five years, 28 businesses throughout the city took advantage of this program.
Economic Development Director David Roderique explains the money budgeted for the program this year will give qualifying Buckeye businesses the leverage and support needed to improve their place of business, and as a result, provide additional sales tax revenues and job growth for the city.
