Bus driver helps Goodyear Police find man reported missing

Posted

Thanks to a sharp-eyed bus driver, a man who went missing May 12 after leaving Abrazo West Campus was found safe eight days later.

On May 18, Goodyear Police asked for the public’s help in locating Darren Montoya, who left the facility, 13677 W. McDowell Road in Goodyear, after he was transported there for medical care.

On May 20, thanks to a tip from the bus driver, Mr. Montoya was located at a bus stop in the area of  PebbleCreek Parkway and McDowell Road.

The bus driver recognized Mr. Montoya from a bulletin that had been posted, Goodyear Police Public Information Officer Lisa Berry said via email.
