According to a news release, the City of Buckeye has scheduled a grand opening event for a new recreation center.
Saturday, Sept. 18, 8:30 a.m., the official ribbon cutting of the Sundance Recreation Center is set to take place. The rec center is at 21765 W. Yuma Rd, at the intersection of Yuma and Dean roads.
Enjoy refreshments, class demonstrations and great giveaways as part of the festivities. You can also drop in on classes currently scheduled that day.
Mayor Eric Orsborn and City Council members are scheduled to be on hand for the celebration.
The Sundance Recreation Center will host a variety of classes for all age groups and will be available for private rentals. It will also be the site of specialized programs that are only for Buckeye residents.
Buckey residens can pre-register for all of the city's free programs and activities at the Sundance Recreation Center. Classes include Mommy and Me Music, judo and family fun night activities.
