AZ Women’s Partnership grants available for grassroots charities
Posted
An all-volunteer philanthropic 501(c)(3) nonprofit that awards grants to grassroots charities that assist under-served women and children at risk in Arizona recently announced the availability of its 2022 grant application.
Arizona Women’s Partnership Inc. has awarded more than $535,000 in grants since 2003 to more than 75 grassroots nonprofits, many of which are multi-year recipients, Paula Cullison, AZWP president and founder, said in a release.
“The Arizona Women’s Partnership plans to award another $30,000 in grants this cycle,” she said.
Cullison is the 2022 recipient of the Martin Luther King Diversity award from the Town of Paradise Valley and the Baha’i Community of PV. She is also the recipient of the YWCA 2019 Tribute to Leadership Advocacy Award for her work on social justice and women’s rights issues, the release states.
AZWP grant recipients address critical issues, such as domestic violence, child abuse, adult literacy, youths at risk, English as a second language, foster children, refugees, homelessness, health and hunger.
AZWP acknowledges the generous donations from the Violet M. Johnson Family Foundation, as well as the support from so many others.
The Arizona Women’s Partnership applicants must be:
501(c)(3) nonprofits with an operating budget of under $450,000;
be in good financial standing;
be non-sectarian;
non-partisan;
non-school affiliated;
reflect the AZWP mission.
The Arizona Women’s Partnership 2022 grant application, which is at azwp.org, must be postmarked by March 31, 2022. Grant awards will be distributed mid-year.
