During the week of July 18-24, the essential responsibilities performed by probation, parole and community supervision professionals will be honored in Pinal County and nationwide.

These professionals serve the community in ways that are not always recognized but are vital for a better current and future justice system, according to a release.

From the pretrial to probation and parole, community supervision means being able to address the needs of the justice-involved individual through community resources, accountability, evidence-based practices and targeted interventions.

This last year has presented many daunting tasks for the Pinal County Adult Probation Department. Officers have had to be creative in delivery of services and have been faced with many obstacles, the release states.

The Pinal County Adult Probation Department staff met the challenge and delivered. The Community Restitution Program continued to donate supplies to the communities in Pinal County with impact as well as to individuals. This program maintained partnerships with Pinal County Public Works and Code Compliance to help community members in need. This allowed justice-involved individuals the opportunity to give back and put substantial meaning into community service.
