Mesa business hosts ‘Drive Friendly, Arrive Safely’ awareness campaign

Posted

A team from Mesa business Friendly Auto Centers has created the “Drive Friendly, Arrive Safely” public awareness campaign to help save lives and keep streets safe from deadly accidents.

Students, chambers of commerce and drivers across the East Valley can sign the pledge at drivefriendlyaz.com/save-lives.

“The statistics are scary: About three people die every day on Arizona roads. An injury occurs every 10 minutes in Arizona — that’s 147 people injured every day. We want to help fix that and help protect our local students and businesses,” a release states.

Drivers are to sign a pledge to drive safely through a targeted, 13-week education campaign. Schools and chambers that get the most driver pledges will win a $1,000 donation, the release states.

The public service and awareness campaign began Aug. 1.

“Each week, the team will gather signed pledges, post announcements to social media and discuss safe driving topics on their weekly radio show, ‘Drive Friendly with Steve & Felecia,’ as heard on 1580am on Saturdays at 10 am, FB Live on Tuesdays at 4 p.m. and replayed Saturday 10 a.m. on YouTube, and most Podcast apps,” the release states.

Friendly Auto Centers, owned by Steve Rozansky, is an active member of several East Valley chambers of commerce, has won the Top Shop award from AAA three years in a row, is a Carfax Top Shop winner and was a finalist for the BBB Torch Award for Ethics, the release says.

For more information or to participate in the chamber or high school contests, contact Rozansky at 480-830-9377 or steve@friendlyautocenters.com; or Erik Arriola, director of operations and marketing at Friendly Auto Centers, at 480-830-9377 or erik@friendlyautocenters.com.

The business is at 5026 E. Main St. Suite 25 in Mesa. Go to friendlyautocenters.com or on Facebook @friendlyautocenters or Instagram @friendlyautocenters.
