Free entry to Lost Dutchman State Park Oct. 5 for Built Wild Days

Posted

A day of free outdoor fun, exploration and conservation for the whole family is planned Saturday, Oct. 5, at Lost Dutchman State Park in Apache Junction.

Join Ford and Arizona Ford dealers for Built Wild Days at the park, 6109 N. Apache Trail.

Come between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. and park entry is covered, according to a release.

Once you’re in, here’s what’s in store:

  • Guided hikes with expert state park rangers.
  • Ford Bronco meetup: A photo opportunity and scenic drive through Bulldog Canyon.
  • Ranger-led activities, including making survival bracelets and seed bombs — muddy fun perfect for the little ones.
  • Lost Dutchman Service Project: Help remove nonnative plants from the campground area.
  • Free Kona Ice treats for all participants. Dorita’s Tacos will be on site for guests to purchase food or pack your own picnic.

Built Wild Days is part of Ford’s Bronco Wild Fund, committed to connecting people to the outdoors responsibly by increasing access, preservation and stewardship of the great outdoors, the release states.
