Burks: Enjoyed interviewing new owner of Gold Canyon Golf Resort and Spa

Posted

I was so pleased to interview Marvin Klinker, a new owner of the Gold Canyon Golf Resort and Spa, 6100 S. Kings Ranch Road.

I found Marvin to be very warm and friendly and he feels connected to our Gold Canyon community and its hometown character.

Gold Canyon residents and our surrounding communities have been privileged to have such an upscale boutique resort in their own back yard. The resort staff is welcoming and always makes us all feel special.

We have been so appreciative of the Gold Canyon Golf Resort’s community spirit.

The resort offers summer dining specials for locals, along with supporting many nonprofits, such as the Gold Canyon Business Association, Gold Canyon Lions, Rotary Club, and other community organizations, clubs and events, by providing meeting rooms and meals.

As the Gold Canyon Business Association’s publicity chairman, and as a member of the editorial staff of the Mountaineer, I welcomed them to our community.

I shared with them that I am very active in the Gold Canyon community as a volunteer and in other capacities such as: president of Gold Canyon Lions, on the editorial staff and freelance writer for our local publications, the Mountaineer, Superstition Living magazine; volunteer reporter for the Apache Junction/Gold Canyon Independent, a monthly and online publication; and at times the Arizona Republic. In addition, I am the Gold Canyon Republican chairman and each year I am the event coordinator for the Gold Canyon Business Fair.

I offered them my friendship and I will be a resource for any information and referrals they may need in the future.

I will be sharing upcoming news with the community as new improvements and developments occur.

It was an enjoyable interview. Marvin was a delight, and I loved his down-to-earth personality.

Editor’s note: Pam Burks is a resident of Gold Canyon and is the publicity chairman for the Gold Canyon Business Association.
