Ben Folds bringing ‘In Actual Person Live for Real’ Tour to Chandler

Posted

Ben Folds recently announced additional 2022 dates for his “In Actual Person Live for Real Tour” of U.S. solo piano and orchestral performances, including a stop at Chandler Center for the Arts at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 19.

Tickets are on sale at chandlercenter.org.

The Chandler Center for the Arts, 250 N. Arizona Ave., is in downtown Chandler and presents a full calendar of performances and exhibitions, from blockbuster international performers to emerging local artists.

Folds created a body of genre-bending music that includes pop albums with Ben Folds Five, multiple solo albums and numerous collaborative records. His last album was a blend of pop songs and his Concerto for Piano and Orchestra that soared to No. 1 on both the Billboard classical and classical crossover charts, according to a release.

Folds, who spent much of 2020 and early 2021 in isolation in Australia because of COVID-19 lockdowns, returned to U.S. stages last fall to numerous sold-out performances.

In addition to a return to performing live in 2022, Folds is working on a new album, continues to produce his podcast series, “Lightning Bugs: Conversations with Ben Folds,” and is scheduled to begin taping a new TV series.

For complete details on upcoming show dates, go to benfolds.com/tour-dates.

Per artist requirement, ticket holders to this performance must present proof of a negative rapid antigen or PCR COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the performance for entry.
