Apache Junction/Gold Canyon Independent hosts City Council, mayor candidate forum

Join the Apache Junction/Gold Canyon Independent and VFW Post No. 7968 for a candidate forum featuring the two mayoral and four council candidates in the Apache Junction Aug. 2 election.

Beginning at 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 22, a meet-and-greet with the candidates for competitive races for mayor and council will be held followed by a forum, both at VFW Post No. 7968, 250 S. Phelps Drive in Apache Junction.

Meet mayoral candidates Mehmood “Mo” Mohiuddin and Chip Wilson; and council candidates Darryl Cross, Ari Kalan, Robert Schroeder and Bryan Soller.

Residents who are registered voters in the city of Apache Junction by July 5 are eligible to vote in the Aug. 2 primary election.
