Apache Junction Police Department officers to wear masks

Apache Junction Police Department officers will be wearing masks in accordance with recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

"Even though things may start to look better for us here in Arizona, our officers will still be taking precautions," AJPD said in a Facebook post @ApacheJunctionPD.

"For the next few weeks in accordance with recommendations from the CDC, you may see some of our officers responding to calls wearing masks. Our goal is to keep healthy so that we can be there when you need us," it states.

"While we are seeing glimmers of light at the end of this tunnel it’s important that we all keep following the social distancing recommendations. Help us help you; stay home unless you absolutely have to go out. Stick to the essentials," the post states.
