AJ Mounted Rangers welcome 3 new members

At the Apache Junction Mounted Rangers' February monthly meeting, Capt. Roger Matas swore in three new members --- Duane Buzan, Kathy Binegar and Tracy Fink.

"They have all been at many of our duties for awhile now and you have probably seen them around," AJMR member Renee Shutts said in a release. "The next time you see these three stop and welcome them. They are such an asset to our organization and community. Devoting their time, talents, and skills to help us raise money for the kids of Apache Junction."

Tracy Fink

Tracy Fink was born in 1962 in Minneapolis and lived in Minnetonka for 22 years. She married Mitch Fink in 1995 and moved to Fargo, North Dakota, the release states.

She owned and operated a 40-stall training barn specializing in youth riders.

"So proud that the kids won hundreds of world and national titles and I got to coach a youth team for many years at the Canadian Nationals. My body was wrecked by so much riding and hauling so in 2008 we sold our facility and moved to Arizona," she said.

She and her husband opened the first location of Nick's Menswear in 2009. She became a certified therapeutic riding instructor and began teaching at Horses Help and Boulder Mountain Therapy when she wasn’t working at Nick’s.

She also is a certified Bikram Yoga instructor and teaches several times a week at Bikram Yoga East Valley. Nick's Menswear now has five locations.

"Very excited to be combining horses and fundraising for area kids --- so glad the AJ Mounted Rangers will give me that opportunity," she said.

Duane Buzan

Duane Buzan is a union millwright working mostly at power plant shutdowns and mining operations, both domestic and international.

He resides in Globe on his ranch and enjoys his side business --- Buzan's Custom Trail Rides.

He has a desire to help our youth and plans to put high energy into his Ranger role, the release states.

Kathy Binegar

Kathy Binegar grew up in Tucson and says she has always enjoyed the outdoors.

She also loves animals, photography and hiking and also enjoys crafts and quilting.

She works in Miami at Carlota Copper Co. and is enthusiastic about joining the Rangers and helping others, the release states.
