$6,500 donated to Apache Junction High School Boosters Club

The Country Idol event that was held at Taradiddles Restaurant & Bar this year made money for the Apache Junction High School Boosters Club.

“(Superstition Mountain Promotional Corp.) ran a raffle each week and from the generosity of the people there watching the contest and raised about $3,500 that was given on the final night. Sandie Russell with Modern Woodmen of America matched $1,500 so SMPC matched her $1,500,” according to a release. “So, an additional $3,000 was given to the boosters in this SMPC meeting. Together we make a difference — $6,500 total given to our kids.”

“Putting Smiles on Kids’ Faces” is SMPC’s motto.
