I believe the League of Women Voters is not a nonpartisan organization. I know that is what they claim, but an investigation will show that the organization is very strongly pro-Democrat Party.

The League claims that its mission is to “empower voters and defend democracy.” This means they are opposed to voter IDs, etc.

Adrian Fontes was thankfully defeated in the November 2020 election. Not surprising that the League presented him with this award.

He did defeat his Republican opponent because I believe she was incompetent. Shame on the GOP for that.
